1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and let the site owner understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as pixels and browser storage, do the same job and are covered by this policy.
2. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary. These are needed for the site to work and are set whatever your choice.
- Caching and performance cookies set by our hosting platform, to serve pages quickly and keep the site stable. Session.
- WordPress session cookies, to keep a signed-in administrator logged in. Not set for ordinary visitors. Session, or up to one year for administrators.
- Consent cookies set by our consent management tool, which record the choice you make about analytics cookies and remember it on later visits so that you are not asked again. These are named cmplz_banner-status, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics and cmplz_marketing. Up to one year.
Analytics, set only if you agree. These help us understand how the site is used.
- _ga, which distinguishes one visitor from another for Google Analytics. Two years.
- _ga_ followed by our property identifier, which keeps the analytics session state. Two years.
We do not use advertising, remarketing or conversion-tracking cookies.
3. Your choice
When you first visit the site, you are asked whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you make that choice.
- Accept and analytics cookies are set as described above.
- Reject and no analytics cookies are set. The site works exactly the same way.
Refusing is as easy as accepting. You can change your choice at any time using the Manage consent control that appears at the bottom of every page, and your new choice takes effect immediately.
4. Fonts and other external content
The site uses typefaces served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which involves your IP address being sent to Google in the same way as any other request for an external file. No cookie is set by this.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will affect how this and most other websites work.
